Firefox will live for at least five more years. Mainly thanks to Google Search

The Google Affiliate Agreement continues to be the primary and main source of livelihoods in declining Mozilla. Firefox developers can stress a little less – Google will provide them with a steady flow of cash for at least half a decade. What do most browsers live from? After all, these are usually free applications, and any advertisements that could be found in them basically disqualify such a browser. The answer lies in ancillary services and partnership agreements. Some browsers offer, for example, a paid VPN service. Others greet us with links to various websites and web applications from the very beginning. This exposure was almost always bought from the browser provider. Mozilla has a similar business model. Its strategic partner is Google – in return for financial support, Mozilla sets Google Search as the default application for searching the Web in Firefox.
