Huawei Mate 40 series: outside of China with MediaTek processor?
Will the Huawei Mate 40 series appear outside of China with a MediaTek processor? Huawei and Samsung would then send its flagship into the race with a dual-chip strategy. Huawei was able to order 8 million HiSilicon Kirin 1000 from TSMC before the US ban struck here too. But will that be enough for the Huawei Mate 40 series? Hardly, so you’re probably planning a completely new strategy. It is now assumed that the flagships outside of China will be sent into the race with a different processor. A very hot favorite on the SoC is MediaTek. But Qualcomm is also mentioned again, although this is unlikely. The hot favorite is probably the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, even if it is not yet manufactured in the 5 nm process. However, there is still speculation that a release of the Huawei Mate 40 series is expected in September or October. And then it should be exciting. There are reportedly only 8 million processors there and Mate’s sales are often over 10 million units. – Teme (特米) (@...
