Data provided by the Ministry of Health show a clear increase in the number of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infections. The general loosening of election restrictions, as well as politicians’ assurances that “the virus is on the retreat”, “the virus is weakening and you do not need to be afraid of it”, are starting to have dire consequences. A short holiday trip to any Polish resort or tourist destination proves that no one remembers about lockdown anymore, no one cares about the whole pandemic anymore. People crowd in queues to tourist attractions without keeping any social distance, and individual masks here and there only look like an exception to the rule.
