Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 will receive a May 2020 patch
Sony is rolling out the current May 2020 security patch from Google again for both 2019 models Sony Xperia 1 and Xperia 5. Both devices are up to date again. The current May 2020 patch has the designation 55.1.A.8.1 for both models and replaces the patch 55.1.A.3.149 from the previous month. Unfortunately, Sony does not provide a changelog again, so you can only guess what the Japanese have changed or improved. Why not finally getting clarity is really questionable. So if you own a Sony Xperia 1 or Xperia 5, you should check whether the May 2020 security update is already available.
