The first Xiaomi with an under-screen selfie camera would arrive in early 2021

Although Xiaomi showed us just a few weeks ago the third generation of its under-screen selfie camera technology , its first smartphone at a commercial level would not be that far from being a reality as the latest data from China point out.

Apparently, Xiaomi would already be finalizing preparations in order to launch its first smartphone with an under-screen selfie camera at the beginning of 2021 . What’s more, according to new rumors, this photographic sensor specially designed to be used under the screen would be manufactured by TCL .

In itself, the selfie camera of the next Xiaomi flagship would be developed by CSOT , a subsidiary of TCL, being this of special design in order to be able to integrate under the screen and take pictures with sufficient quality as if it were a normal selfie camera.

This new rumor comes to us just after learning that the Xiaomi Mi 11 will be one of the first smartphones to incorporate the next Snapdragon 875 that would be presented in December. With this, it would be expected that this new member of the «Mi» family will arrive with an under-screen selfie camera.

Another possible device to make this technology debut would be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 , one of Xiaomi’s most anticipated smartphones, which, taking into account that the Mi Mix series is usually the most innovative, would become the perfect candidate.
