EMUI 11 promo video reveals: Huawei Mate 40 range comes with 66 W fast charging

The Huawei Mate 40 series is expected to be the company’s last smartphones to run on the company’s proprietary HiSilcion chipset.

This chip is manufactured by TSMC using the 5 nm process; the SoC can still be produced there until September 15th. In addition to the most powerful processor, the upcoming flagship devices from the Chinese manufacturer will bring additional high-end features. One of them could be the 66W fast charge, as suggested in a new EMUI 11 promo video.

Huawei also released a series of promo videos for EMUI 11. One of these videos showed the new charging animation with the text "Max 66W". None of the smartphones / tablets from Huawei or Honor currently support this technology. Therefore, it should debut in the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 series.

Unfortunately, the said video is nowhere to be found. But there is a screenshot from the said video, which was posted online.

A 66W Huawei charger was discovered by the Chinese 3C certification authority in early July. This could be the charger that may come with the Mate 40 series.
