Tesla Model 2 planned?

Is Tesla planning a Model 2? This could then compete against the VW ID.3 or Peugeot e-208. It’s still just rumors, but Tesla should be watching the market very closely.

The Tesla Model 3 is currently the most successful electric car in the world. Nobody would have thought that at the start, as numerous problems kept causing minor setbacks.

But the competition never sleeps either, especially not from Europe and Germany. And so the manufacturers are trying to conquer the market with more and more affordable e-cars. Above all, of course, VW , who have big plans for the ID.3.

Autocar now has information that Tesla is planning a shorter hatchback version of the Model 3 that could compete with the VW ID.3 in terms of price. Whether it will be called Model 2 or Model 4 or something else remains to be seen.

Most of all, a model like that would really make sense. Because Tesla would have cars on offer from the upper class to the middle class to the golf class.
