Facebook has repeatedly communicated its intention to integrate the Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp networks. It seems that the first stage of this unification has just begun.

Today, Facebook offers three messengers. These are Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram Direct, also known as Threads. Neither is compatible: a WhatsApp user, for example, cannot easily send messages to a Messenger user. Even though everything comes from Facebook.

Mark Zuckerberg, president of Facebook, has repeatedly mentioned that he would like to connect these networks. After all, their separateness results only from the fact that Instagram and WhatsApp are services that Facebook has purchased instead of creating from scratch. No wonder that they are not compatible with each other and with Messenger developed from the beginning by Facebook .

The discussed integration was noticed by selected readers of The Verge website . Both users of Android and iOS applications have reported the introduction of integration between Messenger and Instagram. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?), Public IM integration tests are currently conducted only in the United States.

After starting the Instagram application, the user will be greeted with the above board. It informs that the Instagram Direct / Threads mechanism has been replaced by the Messenger service.
