Huawei Mate 40 series: first specifications, 2 different user interfaces
Now the first specifications for the upcoming Huawei Mate 40 series have appeared. Apparently there will also be 2 different user interfaces on the models.
Slashleaks has published a listing of some of the specifications of the upcoming Huawei Mate 40. Sounds a little surprising what the "small" flagship will have to offer.
The device should be equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 9000 octa-core processor, 8 to 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of memory. Also mentioned are a non-replaceable battery, a gravity sensor, a proximity sensor, a light sensor, an accelerometer, an electronic compass, a quick charge support, a gyroscope and a fingerprint sensor, which is located under the surface of the display.
It is interesting, however, that the Huawei Mate 40 should appear with EMUI 10.1, while the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, on the other hand, with the new EMUI 11. This means that Huawei Android 11 will only be available on the Mate 40 Pro, while the normal model will then still running Android 10.
Huawei wants to present the new user interface at its developer fair HDC 2020 in early September. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro should then be the manufacturer’s first smartphone with EMUI 11 and Android 11 out-of-the-box.
