The Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 + are Samsung’s new Android tablets. They tempt potential buyers with a display, long battery life and efficiency. Above all, they can also replace a laptop.

Many believe that Android has already failed in the tablet market. That iPadOS and Windows have dominated this segment so much that the alternatives no longer stand a chance. Well, no one has clearly provided Samsung with these analyzes. Because not only has it presented a new tablet with the Google system on board, it also promises to be quite a useful device.

In a tablet, the display is the most important. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 will have nothing to be ashamed of.

The tablet will be available in two versions – S7 and S7 + – which differ mainly in size. The basic version is equipped with an 11-inch display, the one with a 12.4-inch plus. Both are surrounded by thin frames and – as expected – are compatible with the S Pen stylus.

The display aspect ratio that Samsung has chosen is 16:10. The smaller tablet offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels in LTPS technology, while the S7 + is equipped with Super AMOLED with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. Both are refreshed at a frequency of 120 Hz. The beautiful picture is to be complemented by four speakers from AKG with Dolby Atmos support.

In the S Pen that comes with the tablet, some details have also been improved. The pen has a more powerful battery, which is charged from zero to full in less than a quarter of an hour. Its tip supports 4096 levels of pressure. It is also supposed to have very low latency, although Samsung did not provide exact figures here. The stylus is charged after placing it in the appropriate slot on the tablet. The S Pen itself can also be used to remotely control the tablet by making gestures in the air with the pen.

The Galaxy Tab S7 measures 165.3 x 6.3 x 253.8 mm. The Galaxy Tab S7 + measures 185 x 5.7 x 285 mm. The smaller one weighs 498 – 502 g (depending on the selected modem or its lack), the larger one – 575 g.

Both tablets are also supposed to be very fast. They have a powerful processor and – for an additional fee – a 5G modem.

Both devices work under the control of the newest and fastest Qualcomm chip, which is the Snapdragon 865 Plus with 6 GB RAM. In addition, the devices have 128 GB of mass memory, which can be expanded by a maximum of an additional terabyte via a microSD card. All versions of the Galaxy Tab S7 will be equipped with a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module. Unfortunately, only the cheaper one – the one without a plus in the name – will be available in Poland in a version with a modem. Choice of LTE or 5G.

The Galaxy Tab S7 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh (Samsung declares that this will translate into 15 hours of video playback). The S7 + is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 10,090 mAh, which will translate into 14 hours. playing a movie file continuously. The tablet will come with a 15W charger. However, you can buy a 25- or 45-watt charger. The latter is to replenish the battery from zero to full in less than 90 minutes.

Both versions of the tablet will be equipped with a fingerprint reader. The smaller tablet is equipped with a sensor located on the side edge, in the upper right corner of the tablet. S7 + uses a much more modern reader embedded directly in the display, in its lower part.

The S7 also continues the practice of adding a dual camera to the tablet started in the S6. Both versions offer exactly the same set: a 13-megapixel main module with autofocus and an additional 5-megapixel wide-angle one.

The Galaxy Tab S7 is a tablet. However, it can be successfully used as a PC.

Samsung tablets work under the control of Android with One UI 2.5. It enables wireless connection with accessories such as a mouse and keyboard, and also wirelessly with the display (the maximum resolution of the image sent in this way is 2560 x 1440 pixels).

After connecting to the display and typical PC accessories, the tablet starts the DeX mode already known to Samsung users. So it offers a classic desktop interface, with a convenient taskbar at the bottom of the screen and with applications displayed in windows.

The tablet can also be used as a second monitor for our computer. You can both mirror your PC screen and extend your workspace with the Galaxy Taba display.
