The federal government will make available 5 billion euros by the end of the year. The premium starts at EUR 2,500.00. If the car has efficiency class B, there is an additional EUR 500.00. And for a hybrid there is EUR 750.00 on top and for electric cars there is EUR 1,500.00 extra. The upper limit for car purchases is EUR 77,350.00 – anything above that is no longer eligible.

The federal government is once again failing to fund new hybrid or electric cars. Instead, criticism from environmental groups and business experts is simply ignored. The winners are again the manufacturers who have overslept the switch to e-mobility.
