Huawei Mate 40 series: under-display camera deleted

While previous reports indicated that the Huawei Mate 40 series will have a camera under the display , a new report suggests otherwise. According to Digital Chat Station, the upcoming flagship will not have this new camera technology.

With the camera under the display, the image sensor is located under the display on the front and is only visible or recognizable when it is in use. Prototypes of this technology have already been seen, but the results achieved have so far left something to be desired.

An "informant" now reads on Weibo that he allegedly saw production lines of the Huawei Mate 40 series. And that there will be no camera under the display. This is in direct contradiction to reports that Huawei would be the first smartphone manufacturer to launch the first device with a selfie camera under the display.

Huawei was supposed to get exclusive access to Visionox’s under-display camera solution later this year. Although many smartphone manufacturers have confirmed that they are working on the introduction of this function, no one has yet launched a device with this technology on the market.

And here, too, you always have to be a little careful, there are still unconfirmed rumors.
