Sony Xperia XZ2 series & Xperia XZ3 will also receive a patch in May 2020

4 more Sony smartphone models now receive the latest May 2020 security patch. Now it is the turn of the Sony Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium and the Sony Xperia XZ3.

The update for the 4 Sony models has the designation 52.1.A.2.1 and replaces the update with the designation 52.1.A.0.672 with the April 2020 security update.

As always, Sony has opted out of any kind of changelogs in its firmware updates, but little seems to have changed. It is time for Sony to break down exactly what changes there are.

Again, the owners of the Sony Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium and the Sony Xperia XZ3 should check whether the update is already there. But it can take a little time again, there is a distribution in waves.
