Adobe begins to serve ads to Android users. This is not a joke

One might think that such a giant of the creative industry as Adobe is not going to create adware. Meanwhile, the provider’s android applications are beginning to cross the borders of good taste.
According to many – including myself – the Adobe Creative Cloud package is an absolutely unrivaled service for the so-called creative industry. Services such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere are used by hundreds of thousands of specialists and enthusiasts around the world. And although they are certainly not without flaws, the biggest and main seems to be only a very high price. These are great and valued tools, and Adobe is highly regarded.
It is even more amazing to find the editorial staff of Android Police , which with undisguised surprise reports that Adobe has started testing the mechanism of serving ads on the Android platform. Fortunately, this is not about any banners or pop-up windows, but about something much more subtle. However, not much less serious and frustrating.
Adobe application ads on Android.
Adobe decided to put the selected pool of ad users in the system’s Share control. It provides convenient shortcuts to applications installed on the device to make it easy to transfer data visible on the screen to them. For example, after opening a photo on your phone and pressing Share, you can quickly upload it to Instagram without having to switch between apps.
Adobe just in this control began to put applications … which the user does not use. Just install one Adobe program (Android Police indicates even the popular Acrobat Reader), and the system control will show apps that we don’t use and which we don’t have. After clicking on such a strange shortcut we will be transferred to Play Stores with the option of installing the same program. The ads are also served to active Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers, i.e. people who pay EUR 61.5 per month for the service.
Adobe is not the first company to experiment with the limits of insolence on Android. A similar move was once made by Microsoft, which thus encouraged Android users to install OneDrive and PowerPoint. We hope that Adobe – as Microsoft has already done – will get smart in time …
